My boyfriend who changed my life(and my mine)

- SUN MI O
Nov. 24.2004

I have a boyfriend. I met him 1year and half ago in New York. At that time, he look so kind face, big body and so quiet.
He always did a kindness quietly that he didn’t receive anything from me. I accepted his kindness with due gratitude, but it’s only it.

At that time, I didn’t know anything that how should I live in America. Above all I was afraid of him and everything.
I hadn’t been liked citizen because I worried everything. By the way he’s American Korean.
Sometimes we had a lot of problem of the communication. If I can’t explain to him hard I often upset to him but he’s never angry and he always explain anything kindly for me.
He is a earnest Christian I also Christian. But he go to church for trust of god and serve to god but I just had been go to church for myself.
He likes that take careful concern to another person.

First time, I couldn’t understand about his behavior and personality.
I think myself that I was so selfish, individualistic and egoism when I met him before.
I changed my mind because of him. I always thank you to him.
If I just live as now I think certainly that I’ll change my life too.

No sooner did I enter the elevator than I so an strange tall man whit long dark hair and some extravagant tattoos on his arms. I felt scared in a little while. While the elevator come down.
It was because I went into the elevator to go down to the lobby that I saw a guy different from the other people. I felt scared. He also was seeing me and I was wondering how he could wear black clothes and even his face be painted black and white. He seemed angry and powerful. I felt like a little cockroach beside him.
I wasn’t until I told my father about my real experience in the elevator that he told me “ Ruth, these things don’t have to scare you “ . It is a country where the people express their feelings and behavior by this way. It makes them Happy. Since that moment I understood that I don’t have to criticize to the people by their forms of dress. In fact, my father told me that I don’t have to see the manners of dress of a person to know the truth feelings of a person. However, my father gave me a great lesson about the behavior’s people. Since, I father changed me the way that I had had to see the rest of the people. It was a big lesson that I never ever forget for the rest of my life.

My mother who changed my life

IT wasn’t until I got married that I realized she was a guide in my life. Although she looks soft, it is strong and strict inside her mind.

My mother, who has a mild smile, often wears the smile, so people couldn’t catch her adamancy. She is not only has strong mind, but she also is judicious. Therefore, I want to be like my mother, who is so wise. When I was wondering, she guided my step softly into the path of righteousness. Even though she did that, I didn’t realize it at that time

No sooner did I get married than I realized my guide of my life was her. Recently, I began to comprehend her behavior before. I was wrong when I was an adolescent. She told me about her life story as a friend. She had never told me directly what I should need.

Nowadays, she comes to my mind so many times. Many times I was changed by her. I am realizing that my life is changed. Though she is not a famous person and the richest in my county, she has been one of models in my life.
It was seven years ago , when I was high School. I had a teacher who changed my life.
He was the teacher that I had never gotten in my life.

The person who changed my life not only was a very intelligent person, but also he was quiet.
Moreover, he was smart.Indeed, he was respectfuf. He was short and thin.He had black hair but he was
very sexy person and everybody liked him.

The person who changed my life was my teacher in Mathematics in high school. when I wanted
to prepare my exam forthe college, in the begining I did know if he was going to teach me. However, I
knew about him and also I had heard about him. He taught Mathematics, Chemistries and Physics. My
first two days were terrible because there werw many classes and everyboby needed him. Nobody was not
sure if they were going to to be taught by him.

The third days, about 8 o- clock, we should know who was going to teach us in Mathematics,
because that day WE had a Mathematic class. And senddely , a respectful guy entered in our class and that
was him, the teacher who changed my life.No sooner did I began believe that I could pass my exams with him.
He was very smart teacher, he explained clearly and easy to undestand him.

IT was not untill my first sight of him in my class that I believe IMIGHT BE

- How I Adopted another personality –

Everybody had something to say about my third grade’s teacher hair. His style made him look the youngest. In contrast, most of the other teachers were younger than him. But their appearance suggested otherwise.

It was my first day of class in the third grade. He is the kind of person who likes to keep his stance and be an example for the others. He doesn’t change his posture walking, carrying his suitcase and holding it as if it were his most confident secret.

No sooner did I start the semester than I could see how my life was changing. At the beginning of the semester, in the classroom, we were talking about the rules to follow and that it would be required to create a team to keep on working as a special elective.

I could remember the day when my teacher told me that he was thinking about the idea of making me a coordinator of the group, and I was so impressed by his indirect question that I just could say “OK”. Too

my surprise, after that I stopped thinking about “Why me, and not one of my friends?.” It wasn’t until two weeks later when he told me the reason why he decided on me being the coordinator. After that decision, I understood that I had gotten more responsibilities and I felt as if I were walking by the same way that he did..

I didn’t study before that exam because I had been in Greece for two weeks .I went to exam feeling very nervous , While I writing the test , one of my friends threw to me a piece of paper with the answers . It was five minutes before time and I started to write test.

Next weekend, I got the answer from a school, it was information about I passed exam and I passed to other class .I was thinking about the fried , who helped to give it to me answers . I decided to call her and invited her on the dinner .

She changed my life because ,when I needed help ,I got help from her ,Moreover I have been with her a good friend . We speak by the phone each other and this time I am going to help her find apartment here ,because she is going to come here next mouth.

she started look at me I was so impressed. Her face was complete-

She was Nicole, my daugther, who later changed
my life. Before she was born, I was a little crazy and I didn't worryabout anythong and my behavior was different. For example, I
diden't know how to cook and I even didn't do many kind of housework.

Since Nicole was bor, I have never felt lonely
and my life is not monotone. When she cries I try to be there
and to make her feel comfortable and safe. She is the most

A person who changed my life

I got so impressed to seeing the beautiful black and white hair, and her nice clothes with strong colors.
She was in her 70’s, and so excited to be there. It was my first day in the English class at LaGuardia. I was there because I had to learn English.
No sooner did I get in class than I started getting nervous. I sat next to her, and I felt more comfortable when she introduced herself and said that she was from my country.
It wasn’t until 3 classes after I was lost than I started getting a littler bit of some words. It was so difficult for me to understand that sometimes I was thinking that I wouldn’t get it. However, the old lady started to help me, and give me so much advice to the effect that I shouldn’t stop. She was so amazing that later on I started to admire her. After that, we got to be friends, but unfortunately she got sick, and she had to return to our country.
Today if I could talk to her I should say thank you for her helped, even if I have some difficult situation I think about her, and how much expiration she had, and gave to me.

ANA KIM, Nov. 24.

When I was about 4 years old, I really liked Michael Jackson, especially his song “Billy Jean.” I have liked music from then on. He was really popular in Korea. His music was broadcast on television and radio. At that time, whenever I heard that song, I used to dance automatically, anywhere. I was too young. I don’t remember why I acted like that. Maybe I liked that rhythm. But I didn’t know what would happen. After that accident, I never dance anywhere.

One day, my family had a vacation. We went to the sea by my father’s company’s bus. At that time, whenever I took a bus. I used to insist that I should sit in the middle of seats in the backside bus. But it’s very dangerous. However, as many people know that children are very stubborn. So my parents couldn’t stop my doing that.

When I was sitting in the middle seat furthest back in the bus, I suddenly heard “Billy Jean” from the radio. I started to dance in that seat. As a consequence, the tragedy began. The bus stopped suddenly, I fell down the aisle of the bus. I tumbled down to the front side in the bus. After that, I had a scar on my forehead. No sooner did I take the bus than I tumbled down. I was there because my family was in vacation.

It wasn’t until 2 months after I had fallen down in the hallway of my house that, I tumbled down in the bus again. After that I couldn’t dance again in the bus and I couldn’t sit the middle seat in the bus. I learned that I should obey my parent’s opinion. I was changed my life by Michael Jackson, in fact, his song.

My uncle is the restrict person beyond your expectation.

He always makes his face strict.

However to tell the truth, his character is really calm, contrary to his expression. He is
sometime calm, but sometimes restricting.

One day, I got slow with my study which I had to do everyday. Therefore, my uncle got angry and scolded me like machine gun. I felt worse during his scolding. After that, I pondered the importance of studying all day long. The more I contemplated that, the more I began to hate studying.

Therefore, I asked him about that. He said, “Studying is the most important thing for everyone, beyond your thinking.”

I can understand his advice now. I think I should have studied harder when I was little. I feel regret. Why didn’t I study at that time?

My advice is not to worry too much about grammar or spelling. Your English doesn't have to be perfect to express your thoughts and respond to your classmate and students from other classes.

Sometimes I'll give you a question. You can answer it or ignore it. By all means, ask questions of your own.

Do you have a job and go to school? Do you have enough free time to blog? Do you like to read and write?
