Alfredo Quinones-Hinojosa

Alfredo grew up in a poor family, and his father didn't even have enough moner to feed his family. But this was not beat Alfredo, Alfredo worked hard when he was five.
The proverty didn't beat him, it made him become stronger.
I think he was a good stereotype for people.

Sometimes i saw young people sat on the street and put a sign that wrote"Homeless."
Why didn't they go to work or efford themselves to this society?
They gave up themselves.
These young people had a bad luck, and they just desperated.
Even though Alfredo was poor, he still tried hard to live in this world.

Become a surgeon doctor was not easy, you have to study hard and diligent.

The Sean Bell shooting - TELC's Debate

Hi everybody: I made three quotes about this case.

First: ´According to BBC News the defence lawyers claimed Mr Bell's friends were liars. Mr Guzman say to one of his friends: "Yo, go get my gun." ´

Second: In my opinion, the more important fact is the next line from BBC News. ¨Mr Oliver's lawyer, James Culleton, said the prosecution case was based on the testimony of Mr Bell's friends, who both had criminal records and stood to gain from $50m lawsuits against New York Police Department.´

Third: Don´t forget, two police officer are afroamerican. Rev Sharpton said: "The issue is not about race, it's about excessive force by the police."

We can´t denied a long history of abuse in NYPD where the phrase ¨Courtesy, Respect and Professionalism¨ painted in all police vehicles, not always is acccurate with the real behavior of their uniformed members. Like Mr. Diallo shoothing. He was a Togolese immigrant shot in the Bronx in 1999. In that case four police officers, all white, were acquitted. But, in Sean Bell case is total different, we can´t forget or ignore the criminal records. However, sadness, the veredict was granted in a non-jury trial. That´s mean no is the best option in a democracy. Finally, I guess, the veredict not means ¨innocent¨ means not enough proof for a veredict of ¨guilty¨. We´ll see in the next months. Meanwhile the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District and the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice announced they will conduct an independent review of the Bell shooting.
