Amalia Raymundo is a student. She is from Guatemala. She CAME to the USA 18 monthS ago and speakS Spanish.She studIES IN THE ESOL program in High School. Amalia preferS school in her country because HER native language IS SPOKEN THERE, but she HAS BEEN learning English. Amalia said the advantage of ESOL classes is THAT the teacher explainS everything and the disadvantage is THAT the students to North America are separatEd from the other studentS, so she DOESN'T practice all day. Amalia haS only one class with native English speaking student.She wantS to be a doctor.
