for Laura, Nut, Woong and Viviana

 

Laura, Nut, Woong and Viviana, thank you for your drama.  You have created a realistic situation. I think learning anything is interesting if students are creative, as you have been in this drama. After all, history- for example, of American Independence- is the creation of people like you and me. 

 

Your drama shows students helping each other. Also, the teacher is pretty understanding. The situation isn't easy, but the students are not discouraged. That's great.

I have rewritten your work. Please take a look at it ("from the teacher") and see changes from the original. There are a few.

Teacher (Nut) : Hello, everybody. Today we will talk  about American Independence.
Esol (ViViana) : i don't understand.
U.S. student (Woong) : It's boring.
Other student (Laura) : Booooo.
Teacher : Since 1800, when the first American people came from the USA ......
Esol : (She starts to cry) 
U.S. student :Viviana, are you ok? 
Esol : No! I don't understand anything. The teacher uses new words, and she speaks very fast.
Other student : Viviana doesn't understand. She is like a donkey.
Teacher : Laura, get out of my class! Viviana, don't worry.i know English is not easy, but when you learn it your life will be better because education is the key to a better future.
 U.S. student : Let's go to the cafetaria. Viviana, remember that N.Y.C. is a melting pot and has many cultures and people from other countries.
