Diabetes in U.S. rising sharply Summary by Leo

American people have big trouble. The level of diabetes has increased steeply between 1997 and 2007. According to the U.S. Disease Control and Prevention study, one of the principal reason for the rise in diabetes is increasing is the bad habits: more fast food and less exercise. The American Diabetes Association said 23.6 million American children and adults have diabetes.

Specialists say the disease is becoming a silent killer. The best way to prevent the escalating levels of diabetes is education about the dangers of that disease. A CDCP spokeswoman said, they hope people change their lifestyles. Although other studies showed, Americans haven't changed their lifestyles consist of healthier eating and exercise habits yet.
