Facial Expressions Are Not Universal_____MONICA

In Glasgow University, researchers concluded that the reading of facial expressions may not be universal because there are big differences between the way Westerners and Easterners interpret facial expressions. Easterners focus mostly on people's eyes and neglect the mouth while Westerners look at the eyes and the mouth in equal measure. These findings show intercultural communication is more complicated than we think.
