I am going to talk about one of my classmates who is studying English with me in LaGuardia Community College every Saturday. My classmate Ivan would like to become a computer engineer but now he is studying English in LaGuardia college to improve speaking English. He has a large family, 1 sister and 9 brothers. Four of them live in Ecuador. His parents are residents in The U.S.A. and travel frequently to Ecuador to be there five or six month because they like Ecuador a lot and feel good visiting his other children. Ivan lives with his family and his girlfriend in Queens and works fixing computers and other machines. He is interested in learning how to fix cars. Ivan is applying to work as a driver for the MTA. He reported that two years ago New York was better than now because it was easier to get a job and earn more money to send to his country.
