A sweet Canadian invasion: Tim Hortons is here posted at AMNY.com ( by Kay Kang)

Twelve former Dunkin’ Donuts reopened Monday as Tim Horton's, it company is a Canada’s largest fast-food chain. ("Tim Horton's" started by Canadian hockey player Tim Horton in 1974.) What’s more, three Tim Hortons will open by late August in existing Cold Stone Creamery outlets as part of an ongoing co-branding initiative.
Canadians around the city were rejoicing at the opportunity to have their favorite java and doughnuts. And as Tim Hortons offered free coffees, Dunkin’ Donuts responded by passing out $1-off coupons near some locations.
Tim Hortons is a novelty in New York, but there are already 500 locations around the country. Until Monday, the nearest was in Meriden, Conn., some 82 miles away.
Longtime New Yorkers might recognize the name "Tim Horton's".

thank you.

Wasn't it Shakespeare who said that a rose by any other name would smell as sweet? In the case of Dunkin Donuts, we can only hope there will be a change for the better. About 66% of Americans are overweight. We need more healthful food and less donuts.

Your summary gave the main idea of the article and the key details. I learned something from reading it.
