I'm glad to see you have commented on each other's blog postings. That kind of communication is the way to learn a language well, deeply and quickly, also enjoyably. Language is an interesting thing- it only exists if we use it. We create language each time we say or write a sentence.

Reading is interesting because it gives opportunities to learn about things other people know. We can read about the world without having to visit every place. And now you are in New York, which some people call "The Greatest City in the World"!" Is it really? On this blog, you can discuss the idea and read your classmates' opinions. New York is unique because it welcomes people. If you live here a month, you are already a "New Yorker." In that sense, it is a very open, democratic city. No, it is not an easy place. Yes, there is a lot of stress here. But the great thing is that you can make New York the greatest city in the world. After all, New York is people, you and I.
