I'm going to talk about Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
Because He is an important COLOMBIAN Writer....
He is a Novelist and most of his books talking about his imagination...
I'm going to talk about some of his life and some of his importants Novels.

I think this is from Yuri. Am I right?
When I was about eighteen, a good friend gave me the novel "One Hundred Years of Solitude." It is a favorite of many people I know.
Colombia is a place I would like to know more.

On the subject of Gabriel Garcia Marquez, I have a story to tell. About two years ago I was on the subway in New York and met a LaGuardia student. We spoke. I didn't know him. He had never been my student. He showed me the book he was reading, "Chronicle of a Death Foretold," an English translation of the novel by Garcia Marquez.
The student said, "I will give the book to me if you promise you will really read it. I don't want to give it to you unless I am sure you will read it."
I promised but didn't read the book until a year and a half later.
I wonder what has happened to that generous student since our chance meeting.
