"The Group"

There are twenty-one people in our group. Thirteen are women and eight are men. The oldest is 47, the youngest is 19 and the average is 26.

Students in level 3.1 have a variety of occupations. One is a dress maker. Another is factory floor worker. Yet another is an expeditor.

We are from eight different countries, including Uzbekistan, Mexico, Bangladesh and Colombia. We are from three continents, Asia, Eurasia and America. Our languages are Spanish, Uzbek and Bengali.

The largest hometown is Lima, Peru with a population of about 11 million, and the smallest hometown is Milagro, with just 40 people.

Twelve of us are married, nine are single and one is divorced. The longest any of us has been here is 19 years, the shortest length of time is one month and the average is 2 years and six months.

We are a dedicated group, determined to learn a lot of English quickly!
