Scientists cannot explain love and romance, No formula can explain, If they can, I think it is not exactly right because everybody has different mind and different things to happen. Then I agree the best feeling is in love, and being in love makes us to do crazy things because you want to your girlfriend / boyfriend happily, you will do everything you can do for him / her, but some people can do for a long time to keep their relationship, some people cannot, so after a year the relationships become a little boring. It's right, but the problem can fix.

You have raised some interesting points. Science is a tool for understanding the world, but the human mind is beyond the reach of science. We are individuals and unique.
Your other point is that the being in love does not last forever. You suggest that if relationships become a little boring after a year, the problem can be fixed.
People have discussed these ideas for centuries and will continue to.
