Alfredo.

Alfredo is from Mexico. He was a illegal inmigrant, he is our example to follow. He was valiant, great. Since he was child, he liked to work, he liked to study. Worked and studied very hard. Now he is neurosurgeon, profesor and research. Really he es very successful, it is admirable because he is successful in a country as this.

Miriam,

Yes, Alfredo is admirable. But he is not the only one. Lots of people are admirable who do not become doctors or achieve the big success Alfredo did. People with small successes are also admirable, I think. The important thing is to be creative and not destructive in life. That's my opinion. I agree with you!

In future summaries you write, I suggest you give more specifics. This summary is very general and mostly your opinion, with few details about Alfredo.

Kevin,I am Miriam. Yes. I do not write details of Alfredo`s life, but I understand the reading. I did not write because did not have time. I write now.
Alfredo was former illegal inmmigrant from Mexico. Twenty years ago, come in U.S. and was farmworker. When he was 5 years, he was working at his father`s gas station, his grandmother was a village healer and a midwife. In Mexico, he was a teacher when he was 18, but he,too, was unable to provide for his family. So he made the decision: come in U.S. He picked cotton, tomatoes and cantaloupes. When his cousin told him, you would be a farmworker for the rest of his life?. Then, he studyed English, he went on to Harvard Medical School. Now, he is neurosurgen, profesor and research. He is succesful, he es looking for a breakthrough in the tratamient of brain cancer.
He says he owes so much of his success to the many people who have extended a hand to him throughout his life.
