summary about Boris the Fighter

In Moscow, when he walked behind Boris Yeltsin's coffin, he thought about Boris and himself. Every time he met with Boris, he believe Boris's plan. Boris had two objectives first of all. Firstly, he make sure that Russian people never again had to live under communism. Second, keep partnership between Russia and West.

Although his position was often made more difficult by economic problems and political pressures, he insist ed on respecting Russian's borders with the other Soviet republics. Also he stood up to Russian's nationalists who had opposed opnions.

After divided into many countries from Russian, he gave up nuclear weapons with neighbors and pulled Russian troops out of the Baltic states. In addition to, he really wanted to take Russian in as an eighth member as an G-8. The other G-7 leaders and Bill who 42nd president in U.S agreed, because of Russian developing with a free press and a healthy society, above all his critical co-operation on security issues.

After that, he stops his job as two reasons. First is heavy responsibilities and second is heart-attack. At the same time, he selected Vladimir Putin who had the diverse strong-points. Bill was impressed by president Putin at first but wasn't sure about him later. Because Putin wouldn't turn the clock back.

Bill saw Mr.Yeltsin one more time, last year before he died. He seemed in good health and did his job.

Boris Yeltsin was intelligent, passionate, emotional, strong-willed. At the end of cold war, World were lucky to have him. Although he died, History will remember him.
