I am Tanya . I come from Ecuador, I've been here for 3 years and a half, actually i live in Rego Park Queens i'm working as a part time babysister and also a costumer service in b&h store.
well the topic that i would like to write is:
Economic equality is new civil rights issue ( the wealth gap)
so after 40 years the passaje voting rights act and decades after rev. Dr. Martin Lutter King.
Americans made strides in racial equality and split along racial lines so
_ 21 century economic equality has become very important civil rights issue.
* Fewer blacks than whites own their houses
* get fair loans
* invest in the stock market
* sit on corporate boards ( have real control over much of the trillion of dollar flowing in mutual founds, pension plans and financial markets)
these gains have been made front education and job

but those gains are being reversed through widening racial wealth gaps because of differences betwen income and wealth
part of the succes of the civil rights movements to this unique relationship betwen africanamerican and jew because they may not share a comon faith, but they share a comon fate.
those people who continue to esponse a society of discrimation, intolerance,and injustice
and we find that
black families had only 1o cent in wealth for every dollar white families had

You wrote very impressively on the subject of civil rights. You examine the subject rationally and clearly. It is a subject that touches the emotions and the intellect. We know all people deserve equal rights and we also feel it in our hearts. Your analysis is very helpful and encouraging to read.
You are from Ecuador. Is racism a problem there, for example, against indigenous people?

first I very happy that such subject that I chose, it could be good ejem. to follow and focus really in that (economic equalities is new civil right issue)
well with respect to my country as any other country we still find such a problem.
